6/37.- Taipei, SYS Memorial Hall

The other famous memorial hall in Taipei is that the one honoring the man considered to be the father of the Republic of China, Dr. Sun Yat-sen. The memorial can be easily reached using the metro system (Sun Yat-sen station) and houses an extensive library, multimedia hall, performance center along with a museum giving a chronological rundown of Sun’s life. This hall also served as the location for Chiang Kai-shek’s State funeral in 1975. The garden of the SYS Memorial Hall has Taipei’s most famous attraction as a back ground. Yes, none other than the structure which currently stands as the world’s tallest, Taipei 101.
