29/33.- Aleppo, Lake Assad

In the late 1960's, Tabqa Dam was constructed and a new artificial lake was born, Lake Assad. Qal'at Ja'bar Castle, located on a hill, was safe, but a new road to access it, and some protective walls had to be built.
