If you take the main road in the direction of the South, you will find some more resorts. Greenview Resort is one of them. They offer basic cottages at the Ocean Front. The hotel is accessible from the town by tricycle.
One of my recommended activities while in El Nido is renting a motorbike, or renting a tricycle with a driver for a few hours, and take the road in the direction of Las Cabanas Beach Cottages (South of El Nido). On the way, you can stop in a couple of lookouts, from where you have nice views of the bay and its surrounding islands.
