After the Siq, and before you reach the Visitors Center, on your right hand side, you will find the Obelisk Tomb. It was built at the second half of the first century in order to bury the corpse of Abdomanchos, son of Achaios, and his family.
Next to Petra is the modem city of Wadi Musa, where you can find a good offer of places to stay and restaurants. Some hotels are just next to the archeological site, some others are further uphill. In order to get to downtown Wadi Musa from the Visitors Center (or vice versa) it is convenient to take a taxi.
