6/31.- Osaka, Osaka Castle

Osaka Castle is one of Osaka's most beautiful sights. The castle is a concrete reconstruction of the one that was burnt down after being struck by a lightning.

The origins of the castle date back to 1583, when the General Toyotomi Hideyoshi ordered its construction. His idea was to rule the unified Japan from here.
