18/25.- Nara, Todaiji Temple, bell tower

This is another of the famous buildings in Todaji Temple, the Bell Tower.

Nara has four distinct seasons. Winters are cold, summers hot, and Spring and fall are ok. In early summer is the rainy season, or tsuyu, not a bad time to come either. It is during the rainy season that tourist sites are less crowded. If you come during this season, bring rain gear. The most popular time to visit Nara is definitely in Spring, when trees blossom.
