17/25.- Nara, Todaiji Temple, ritual fountain

In this picture you can see the ritual fountain where you are supposed to clean your hands and mouth before entering the temple.

In most temples in Japan you have to take off your shoes. For this reason I recommend bringing a pair of shoes that are easy to take off. And remember to wear a clean pair of socks too!!
