7/25.- Nara, Kofukuji Temple, Five Floor Pagoda detail
In this picture you can see a detail of the roof of the Five Story Pagoda in the Kofukuji Temple. This pagoda was originally built at the beginning of the 8th century
by the Empress Komyoh. Its current structure dates from 1426.

Kofukuji are the
Eastern Golden Hall
(Tokondo), the
Northern Octagonal Hall (Hokuendo), and
the Southern Octagonal Hall (Nanendo).
The
temple of Kofukuji can be accessed from Nara Train Station on foot, on the way to Nara Park.
