6/25.- Nara, Kofukuji Temple, Five Floor Pagoda

Located on either side of Kofukuji Temple's entrance there are two big pagodas: the Three-Story Pagoda and the five-Story Pagoda. This latter pagoda, in the picture, is one of the symbols of Nara.

Another of the symbols of Nara are the deer, that freely roam in Nara Park. Deer are considered messengers of gods in Shinto. Nara Deer are designated a National Treasure.
