3/25.- Nara, Kofukuji Temple

Most sights in Nara are in a park in the center of the town called Nara Park. Once in the park you can access most of the places on foot. You can also buy a World Heritage Loop Line Bus Ticket one-day pass, its buses will take you to Nara's World Heritage Sites.

The Kofukuji Temple was founded in 669 AD, and was moved to its current location when Nara became the capital of Japan. At its peak the temple consisted of more than 175 buildings.
