37/50.- Kyoto, Kamigamo Shrine, detail

In this picture you can see a detail of the Kamigamo Shrine. This temple is constructed of wood, and, as you can see, this is a rather complex structure. These wooden beams support the roof of the main Shrine.

Kamigamo-jinja Shrine and our next visit, Shimogamo Shrine, are also known as Kamo Shrine. Both are on the list of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites.
