25/50.- Kyoto, Gion

Since the 1500's, Gion has been Kyoto's pleasure district. The district lies on both sides of the Kamogawa river, between 3rd (Sanjo-dori) and 4th street (Shijo-dori).

To get to Gion District you can walk, take the Karasuma subway line to Shijo Station, or take a public bus.
