7/32.- Hiroshima, A-Bomb Dome

In this picture you can see the A-Bomb Dome. This building used to house the Prefecture Industrial Promotional Hall. It is said that the A-Bomb exploded just above it. Within a radius of two kilometers from here almost all buildings were destroyed. The building has been preserved as it was after the bomb. Now it is a symbol of the destructive power of nuclear weapons.

The A-Bomb Dome is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
