2/33.- Raja Ampat, getting in

Raja Ampat is not easy to reach, but it is well worth the effort. In order to get here you first have to fly to Sorong (West Papua), from where you can take a public boat to Waisai, the main town in the Raja Ampat archipelago.

You can get to Sorong from Manado (Sulawesi) or Jakarta. Jakarta has many international flights. Manado has only one international flight that I know of, from Singapore.

Probably you will have to overnight in Sorong. There are a couple of nice hotels, one by the airport and another in the city center. Book ahead, if you can.
