33/39.- Delhi, festival

But, probably, the biggest Festival in Delhi, is the Diwali. Celebrated throughout India in October-November with lights and fireworks to welcome Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity.

Other festivals celebrated in Delhi are the Makar Sankrati, the harvest festival; the Holi, the colors festival; Dussera, a celebration of victory of good over devil; and Independence Day, on August the 15th.
