12/17.- Bikaner, Karni Mata Rat Temple

Karni Mata Temple is located in Deshnok, around, 40 Km from Bikaner.

Karni Mata is one of the most famous temples in India. In this temple the goddess Karni is venerated. The goddess belongs to one of the lowest casts in India. Members of this cast believe their dead relatives are reincarnated into rats, this is the reason why they treat rats so well (they even feed them with milk).
