29/40.- Artillery

When many people think of Cambodia, they inevitably think of the genocide committed by the Khmer Rouge and years of war. While those terrible days are past, they are not THAT far in the past, as this reminder shows. An even sadder reminder of those days are the land mine victims you may see around Angkor. Indeed, there is a land mine museum not far from Angkor that some travel books recommend (but I didn't get a chance to visit).
