17/40.- Siem Reap

This is the town of Siem Reap, near the main market. Although there are plenty of modern Western resort-type hotels in the immediate area, the town center itself certainly won't be mistaken for a town in Europe or the U.S. It has retained some of its French colonial architecture and rustic feel, and although there are plenty of tourists around, there are also many locals going about their day-to-day business.
