Lumpini Park is
Bangkok's main park. It's here you can see people eating,
jogging, strolling and practicing Tai Chi. It's also here
you can see the famous statue of King Rama IV, the king
of "The King and I," all versions of which are banned in
Thailand. True he had a lot of wives (35) and a lot of
children (83), but he was a progressive thinker, who
spoke eight languages, was an expert astronomer and
introduced major reforms to modernize his country. Before
becoming king, he was a monk and therefore celibate. For
