1/50.- Welcome to Washington DC!!!

Washington DC is the capital of the United States of America since the late 18th century. Its historical monuments, its government buildings and its museums attract millions of visitors each year.

Most of the tourist attractions in Washington DC are around a park in the center of the city, called the Mall: the US Capitol building, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials, the Smithsonian Museums, the National Archives and the White House. Other attractions outside the Mall are Georgetown, Dupont Circle, the Pentagon and the Arlington National Cemetery.

Washington DC is the perfect place to learn about the history of the United States. On the following pages I will give you a sneak preview of the tourist landmarks in Washington DC.
