A trip to Canada would not be complete without a snow-topped mountain and Vancouver Island's vast mountainous area, Strathcona Provincial Park, remains white tipped year round. Strathcona is another 160 kilometres north-west into the centre of the large island. Hike up into the glacier regions if you are after an adventure and are fit enough. The park boasts the highest mountain on the island, Mount Golden Hinde, and the highest waterfall in Canada, Della Falls.
