Nassau, Cathedral
Nassau has the highest concentration of churches I have ever seen. The
population is very religious, and religion seems to pervade much of their
life and language. The local radio and television broadcasts religious
programmes round the clock, and every denomination or sub- or
sub-sub-denomination seems to be represented and active. Methodism is
particularly well represented, and has been around for centuries. On the
outskirts of town, where Nassau keeps expanding, the first building to go
up on a block is the church. This picture shows the inside of the Anglican
cathedral.
