12.- View over Machu Picchu

Here's my wife Barbara (standing) and three students from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. (Barbara will take you on a tour of Iquitos in another virtourist.com tour!). You can see the terraces of Machu Picchu in the background, the zigzag road up the steep mountain face, and the ruins where a telecabine will eventually carry people up starting in 2001. They are eliminating the smelly and noisy bus that currently carries visitors to the ruins. Next, let's see the place where this photo was taken.
