41/50.- Runaway Bay, collective taxi

Moving around Jamaica could not be easier. Jamaican hotels have their private minivans and taxis. Most of the times they will pick you up at the airport and bring you back there on the day you leave.

If you need to move around, you can rent a car --an option I do not recommend-- or take local taxis. There are two kind of taxis: the private and the collective taxis. Private taxis are for foreigners, obviously they cost more. Collective taxis are for Jamaicans. If you are an adventurous traveler, you con take one of the collective taxis. You will have to share it with locals. The taxi in the picture is a taxi we rented for one day in order to go to the Bob Marley Mausoleum ...
