Close to the harbor there is a public beach. The beach is closed with fences. You have to pay a fee to get in. Actually you do not pay to lie on a beach, but to lie on a beach without hustlers. That is the main reason of the fee.

A few yards from the beach is a huge arts and crafts market, the one you see in the picture. Here you will find the typical Jamaican souvenirs: wooden fish and parrots, T-shirts and Jamaican caps.

You will not find any good deal here. Sellers know that cruise passengers have plenty of money to spend, and will not bargain more than necessary.
