Negril, downtown, fisherman's boat
This picture was shot in the small harbor in the south Negril
river. As you will see in the next picture, this is a pretty busy
port. There is half a hundred boats like this in this harbor. Almost
everyday Jamaican fishermen go fishing. They sell their catches to
the local restaurants.
Lobster used to be one of the most successful meals among tourists. You should know, though, that there is a law which forbids the selling
of lobster between April the 1st and june the 30th. Although you may
find lobster during the closed season in some of the local restaurants,
you should refrain from ordering it.
