24/37.- Antigua Guatemala, Convento de la Concepcion

The Convent de la Concepción has its origins in 1563, when F. Marroquin donated the land. The convent was not finished till 1729, when it became an Inmaculada Concepcion Convent. More than 100 nuns lived here, but after the 18th century earthquake the building was abandoned.
