20.- Fort Lauderdale, Fox
I've never seen a fox in Fort Lauderdale, but
they are out there! Another interesting visit in FL
is the Fern Forest Park. The famous walkway keeps
your feet dry as you walk above the wetland. You
can visit the museum in this park and take a
self-guided tour. You will see lots of plants that
no longer exist in downtown Fort Lauderdale. We
have contained nature and you might need insect
repellent to protect yourself from mosquitoes. This
walkway is similar to a walk near the beach at West
Lake Park. It gives you an idea of how similar
trails cover the swamp in Loxahatchee (near West
Palm Beach) and places farther to the north (near
Orlando and Gainesville).
Near to this park is Butterfly World, where
hundreds of butterflies are born each day.
