17/22.- Ostional, main beach

In the town of Ostional, you will find places to sleep, and a couple of restaurants; one of them with the best food I had in Costa Rica.

Ostional has its own "arribada", on a night with waning moon. On the "arribada"'s night more than 5,000 turtles come to lay their eggs. The "arribada" is so massive, that some of the turtles get lost and go to the town's main square. Some of the turtles come back some days after the "Arribada". That is why you may see the turtles during the entire nesting season.
