15/24.- National Park of Corcovado, muddy trail

In the picture you can see one of the trails of the park during the rainy season.

The climate in Corcovado, as in the rest of Costa Rica, is tropical. Rains are common. In your packing list, you should include a good pair of trekking boots. In the towns of Corcovado you can buy rubber boots, especially recommended during the rainy season.

You should also bring a raincoat, and a good mosquito repellent. Some guides say that malaria is endemic to the park. Ask your local doctor for prescriptions.
