11/24.- National Park of Corcovado, rainy forest

The area of Corcovado was declared a National Park in 1975 to protect the rich fauna and flora. Before the creation of the park, this area was popular for its gold. Some locals still go to the park looking for gold, but because nowadays mining activities are forbidden, they do it at night. Quite dangerous, by night is when the region's poisonous snakes are most active.
