The Conjunto Nacional is a group of buildings that holds bookshops, cinemas, shopping malls, a cultural center (where exhibitions regularly take place), residential flats and offices.

The Conjunto Nacional was inaugurated in the 1950's. In the area you will also find many restaurants that serve food by the kilo. These restaurants are very popular in São Paulo, and are a very good option for lunch. In Kilo restaurants you will find a free buffet, and will be charged by weight. Some restaurants have meat, and are called Churrasquerias.
