Copacabana Beach is a good place to spend the day. Locals go to the beach in the morning, in the afternoon and in the evening (before or after work). Cariocas do know how to enjoy life!

In summer, the beach can be pretty hot, a good way of refreshing yourself is going for a swim. Remember not to leave your things unattended while in the water, though.
