7/16.- Porto Seguro, Cidade Historica, capoeira show

In the Cidade Historica there is a square, where Capoeira demonstrations take place.

Capoeira is a dance with African origins, very popular among the poorest neighborhoods in Brazil. In a Capoeira dance, two opponents fight following the rhythm of the local music. Usually this martial art is practiced without weapons, but there are also Capoeira dances where knives are used. When weapons are used, the dance is even more spectacular.
