14/28.- Olinda, Igreja da Se

The Igreja da Sé, or Igreja de São Salvador do Mundo, was the first church ever built in Brazil. The church became a protestant church during the Dutch invasion in the 17th century.

The current structures date back to the 18th century. Legend has it that Duarte Coelho was exactly here, Alto da Sé, when he decided to found the city of Olinda.
