18/37.- Belem, Companhia das Docas do Para

Walking from Estaçao das Docas to Presidente Vargas Avenue one of the first buildings we will see is the Companhia das Docas do Pará (in the picture). If we take one of the streets on the right hand side, we will get to the Central District (or Centro), where we will find many shops. The area is at its busiest on week days. On weekends the district is rather dull.
