2/37.- Belem, Catederal de Se

Belem do Para is also known as city of the mango trees, due to the amount of Mango trees in its streets.

We will start our virtual visit to Belem with the Cathedral, or Catederal de Sé. The construction of this building started in 1748 and was completed in 1771. The building is a design by an Italian architect, Antonio Giuseppe Landi, settled in Belem.
