30/37.- Ngorongoro, Giraffes

Unlike the male elephants, the giraffes don't move in and out of the crater. In fact, they don't live in the crater at all. These were part of a small herd we saw between the crater and our next stop. We found giraffes a little hard to get close to. However, if you want to get really close, try Giraffe Manor just outside Nairobi. "It is the only place in the world where you can feed giraffe from your second floor bedroom window, or over the lunch table in the sun room, and even at the front door as these gentle giants try to squeeze into the foyer.
