Meknes, street market
Next to the huge El-Hdim public square is a traditional market
that deserves a visit. Note that this is an area off the beaten
path, and it may be unsafe. Here you will find many stalls selling
vegetables and fruits. If you feel thirsty, you will also find
fresh fruit juices -- the orange one was my favorite --. Some
stalls also sell grilled meat. Just in front of the market lies
a taxi stop. There you can take Grand and Petit taxis. Petit
taxis will take up to three passengers. Grand Taxis take up
to six people. But you may not need any public transport, the
city of Meknes is small enough to be visited on foot.
