Marrakech, Medersa Ben Youssef, detail
This Madrasa was built by the Saadians in the 16th century,
and named after a 12th century Almoravid sultan. Next to the
Coranic School sits the Mosque by the same name. Unfortunately
local Mosques can only be visited by Muslims.
The decorations and the architecture of this site reminds the
one of the Alhambra,
in Granada
(Spain).
In the picture you can see one of the windows of one of the
pupil's rooms.
